About Michele Tompkins
Michele was born and raised in Lethbridge and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Victoria. She was employed as the Economic Development Co-ordinator for the Town and Municipal District of Pincher Creek where she promoted new business and tourism for 4 years.
From 1987 - 1989 Michele moved to Ottawa to work as a Research Assistant on Parliament hill for the Member of Parliament from Lethbridge. Michele returned to Lethbridge to own and operate a service business with her sister Lisa, specializing in self- improvement and career planning. Michele gained comprehensive knowledge of new home construction while working with a local home builder for 5 years. She assisted clients through the building process, from contract signing to the completion of their new home.
In addition to her degree in Economics, Michele holds a diploma in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo and a Diploma in International Humanitarian Law from the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in Italy.
In her spare time Michele enjoys mountain biking, motorcycling, working out at the gym, travelling, and music (piano & guitar).
